The European Union may fully or partially lift anti-Russian sanctions in September, depending on the process in the east of Ukraine. The Council of the European Union will consider the sanctions based on an evaluation of the Minsk peace plan by the European External Action Service by the end of the month, a press release of the EEAS says.
The European Commission and the EEAS will make proposals on changes to or lifting of the sanctions.
