Russian Supreme Court confirms sentence on Amirov
Russian Supreme Court confirms sentence on Amirov Russia's Supreme Court has confirmed that it has upheld the sentence on the former mayor of Makhachkala, Said Amirov, sentenced to 10 years in prison for preparing a terrorist attack. It means that the appeal by the defense and presentation of the military prosecutor's office were rejected, according to ITAR-TASS. At the same time, the Supreme Court cut the sentence of the nephew of Amirov, the former deputy mayor of Kaspiysk, Yusup Djaparov, by three months, down to 8 years and three months in a colony.
