'Yeni Azerbaijan' urges unlisted candidates for parliamentary elections to changes decision

The deputy chairman of the ruling party 'Yeni Azerbaijan' (PYA) Ali
Ahmedov expressed confidence that unlisted PYA candidates for the
parliamentary elections will change their decision, Trend reports.

PYA published the list of candidates according to electoral districts.
Some members of the party decided to put themselves forward as
candidates without being on the party list.

Ahmedov said that such facts will not cast a shadow on the successful
realization of the electoral campaign of such large party as PYA.

The slogan of the electoral campaign of the party is 'Strong state -
high prosperity'.

Parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan will be held on November 7,
2010. Campaigning started on September 3.

The previous elections were held in November 2005. Azerbaijani
parliamentary elections are based on majority system, with 125
electoral districts.
