A senior Iranian presidential advisor says the US-led so-called international coalition against the Takfiri ISIL group will fail because of the Islamic Republic's refusal to join it due to the US dishonesty, Press TV reports.
"The Islamic Republic of Iran is a country that has ensured its own security despite all mischief, and the Western coalition against extremist and violence-seeking grouplets will not succeed in this battle without the contribution of the Islamic Republic of Iran,” Ali Younesi, who advises President Hassan Rouhani on ethnic and religious minorities, said on Sunday.
“If the US and the West were honest, the Islamic Republic of Iran would certainly help them but they are definitely not honest,” he said, adding that Iran will never agree to join a US-led coalition.
