Chaly named head of Sevastopol Legislative Assembly

 

Alexey Chaly has been elected as the head of the Sevastopol Legislative Assembly unanimously. Ilya Zhuraavlev, an LDPR deputy, expressed hope that Sergey Menyaylo would be unanimously elected as the Sevastopol governor on October 9, ITAR-TASS reports.United Russia got 22 out of 24 seats in the Assembly on September 14.Alexey Chaly, an ex-director of the Tavrida Electric, became the unofficial mayor during the protests on February 23. He was the acting governor of Sevastopol on April 1-14. He became the head of the Sevastopol Strategic Development Agency.
