The legal status of the Caspian Sea may be settled at the coming forum of the Caspian states scheduled to be held in Astrakhan next Monday.
Such remarks were recently made by Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov.
According to him, the presidents of the Caspian states are expected to issue a joint statement, in which the basic principles of cooperation in the Caspian region will be set out.
