Georgian Deputy Minister for Regional Development and Infrastructure said that a special crisis center was operating in West Georgia 24/7. It is coordinated by Secretary of the Council for State Security and Crisis Management Mindia Janelidze, News Georgia reports.


Georgian Prime Minister Irakly Garibashvili was informed about the situation in the area in the context of recent rains, mudslides and flood.


West Georgia has been hit by severe weather for the third time since September 21. Heavy rain caused rive flood, submerging houses, streets of the Adjara Autonomous Republic, Guria.
