The CEC of Ukraine has registered candidates named Darth Vader of the Internet Party in six districts. The official registration of candidates for the early parliamentary polls will be concluded on Tuesday. By Monday, a total of 29 parties had been registered, RIA Novosti reports.
A candidate named Darth Vader got 1.74% of votes during the mayoral elections in May. He came second at one of the polling stations during the elections in Odessa.
Another Darth Vader, the deputy leader of the Internet Party, campaigned for the presidency in spring but the CEC refused to register him. He also failed to vote as he refused to take his helmet off.
Darth Vader is one of the main and most recognizable characters of George Lucas’ Star Wars films.
