Military parade in Tehran

Tehran has held a military parade involving the 'Sepah' corps, air
forces and infantry. The parade was organized near the mausoleum of
the Grand Ayatollah Khomeini, Trend reports, citing the Iranian
information agency Fars.

The parade is dedicated to the Holy Defense Week in Iran, celebrated
annually in memory of the Iranian-Iraqi war.

The war started on September 22, 1980 when the Iraqi army attacked
Iranian province Khuzestan. A cease-fire agreement was signed on
August 20, 1988. The borders of both countries were unchanged.
