35 senators have been replaced at the Federation Council of Russia. 20 of them have become senators for the first time. 13 more new members will soon join it. It is a record, according to Speaker of the Senate Valentina Matviyenko, ITAR-TASS reports.
7 senators have already been heads of regional governments, five were Duma members, 10 have scientific ranks.
Andrey Klishas, a senator of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, has become the head of the committee for constitutional legislature and state construction. Zinaida Dragunkina from Moscow has become the head of the committee for science, education and culture. Vadim Tulpanov from the Nenets Autonomous District has become the head of the committee for regulations and organization of parliamentary work.
