Police and army are conducting a special operation near the village of Ekazhevo in Ingushetia where gunfighting is continuing, a source in the law-enforcement agencies af the republic has informed Ria Novosti
'We know that the members of FSB and of the Temporary Operational Group (VOG) have started a special operation near the village of Ekazhevo in Ingushetia' - said a member of the agency.
'We also know that there is shooting, submashine guns and grenade launchers are being used' - the source added. He could not say precisely how many people were taking part in the fighting, nor if there were any casualties or injured.
