Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said a meeting with the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) and the International Press Institute (IPI) that he was against daily use of the Internet, Gazeta.ru reports.Erdogan said in March 2014 that access to Facebook and YouTube may be blocked. Turkey blocked YouTube in 2007-2010 because of a video insulting first Turkish President Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.
