Georgia will hold joint drills with Lithuania within the framework of the NATO cooperation program, it was announced after a meeting of Georgian Prime Minister Irakly Garibashvili with Lithuanian National Defense Minister Jouzas Olekas, RIA Novosti reports.
Olekas arrived in Georgia and has already met with Georgian Defense Minister Irakly Alasania and Foreign Minister Maya Panjikidze. He will meet with Georgian President Georgy Margvelashvili.
Georgia got a package of measures at the NATO summit in Wales on September 4-5 to speed up its integration into the Alliance.
