EurAsEC to be disbanded

The presidents of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan plan to sign a treaty at the Interstate Council of the Eurasian Economic Community in Minsk on October 10 to disband the EurAsEC on January 1, 2015, Asiaplus reports.

EurAsEC has played an important role in intensifying Eurasian integration processes, the development of the Customs Union, the Common Economic Space of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, and formation of the Eurasian Economic Union.

EurAsEC will mark its 14th anniversary on October 10.
