Armenia to become member of Eurasian Economic Union on January 1, 2015

Russian President’s aide Yuri Ushakov said that Armenia will become a member of the Eurasian Economic Union on January 1, 2015, TASS reports.

Presidents Vladimir Putin (Russia), Alexander Lukashenko (Belarus) and Nursultan Nazarbayev (Kazakhstan) will analyze the realization of Kyrgyzstan’s road map to join the Customs Union tomorrow. It will be supplemented by a program for adaption of Kyrgyz laws to the demands of the Common Economic Space.

Ushakov added that they will discuss cooperation of the EaEU with other partners. He clarified that there was progress in forming a free trade zone with Vietnam, and expert groups for development of such zones with Israel, India and Egypt.
