The house in the Gudaut district of Abkhaz Vice-President, Alexander
Ankvab, came under grenade launcher attack last night. Ankvab was
wounded in the hand and leg, RIA Novosti reports, citing the First
Deputy Minister of Interior Affairs of Abkhazia, Ramin Gablaya.
This was the fourth attack on the vice-president. He was attacked in
twice in 2005 and once in 2007, when he was wounded when his car was
attacked in the village of Lykhny in the Gudaut district.
