‘Yeni Azerbaijan’ to exclude self-proclaimed candidates of its party for parliamentary elections

The leader of the ruling party ‘Yeni Azerbaijan’ (YAP), Guseyn
Pashayev, said that members of his party who introduced their
candidatures before the campaign period of the parliamentary elections
will be reinformed about the position of the party and the decision of
its authorities, APA reports, citing Pashayev’s press-service.

He noted that the party introduced candidatures for 114 electoral
districts. Districts that do not propose YAP candidates then propose
candidates of other parties or independent candidates. Violating the
party’s decision will result in exclusion.

Some members of YAP introduced their candidatures despite the decision
of the party. They include 2 deputies and well-known YAP members.
