Vladimir Yakunin, the head of Russian Railways, will chair the 61st session of the Council for Railway Transportation of CIS Member-States hosted by Baku on October 21-22. It will be attended by railway authorities of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Georgia, Latvia, Bulgaria, Finland, representatives of Lithuania, Estonia, Iran and the CIS Executive Committee, Russian Railway reports.
The session will round up progress in 2014, discuss the railway schedule for 2015/2016, freighting, tariff policy for 2015, amendments to documents, approval of the provisions on extension of lifespan, common demands for renovation of passenger cars, recommendations for assessment of reconstruction potential of cargo carriages, technological instructions for freight carriages.
