Yerevan will host the fourth plenary session of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly on March 16-20, 2015, said Artak Zakaryan, the head of the Armenian parliamentary commission for foreign relations, News Armenia reports.
He noted that in 2013 the parliament had proposed a plenary session in 2014. It was postponed until 2015 due to elections to the European Parliament.
Armenia will receive delegations of five members of the Eastern Partnership and about 60 members of the European Parliament. The agenda includes hosting a Bureau session, two working groups and a session of four commissions.
Euronest consists of members of the European Parliament and the parliaments of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. The parliamentary part of the initiative of Poland and Sweden was made to intensify cooperation of Ukraine, Armenia, Moldova, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Belarus with the EU as non-members of the Union.
