The Azerbaijani parliament has passed amendments to the law on police, allowing officers to be armed with stun guns. Ali Guseynli, the head of the parliamentary committee for legal policy and state construction, said that the list of officers authorized to carry such weapons will be formed by executives and approved by the interior minister, Trend reports.
Stun guns will be used in cases of attacks or other violent acts, during unrest, against people trying to occupy buildings or vehicles, when saving hostages.
