French and Ukrainian Presidents Francois Hollande and Petro Poroshenko have discussed the results of the elections to the Ukrainian parliament in a telephone conversation. Paris expressed satisfaction with the election process and congratulated Poroshenko on the results of his bloc and the results of Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk’s party, TASS reports.
Hollande reminded that France was committed to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine and called for fulfillment of the Minsk protocol signed on September 5 as the basis for a political settlement of the crisis.
The French leader emphasized the importance of renewing the national dialogue and realizing the reforms the population of Ukraine expected.
