Turkey has granted the Macedonian army $2 million to purchase modern uniforms, shoes, equipment of NATO standards. Macedonian Defense Minister Zoran Jolevski said that Turkey was helping the Macedonian army modernize regularly, TASS reports.
Turkish Ambassador to Macedonia Omur Solendil expressed confidence that Macedonian forces would take part in more peace and security missions under the auspices of the UN, making a new step towards NATO membership.
