Today the inaugurations of the elected heads of the Donetsk People’s Republic and the Lugansk People’s Republic, Alexander Zakharchenko and Igor Plotnitski, have been held in the DPR and the LPR.
During his inauguration Zakharchenko promised on the Bible to fulfil his duties honestly. Boris Litvinov, the speaker of the DPR, congratulated him on taking office.
Plotnisski promised to follow the constitution and laws of the LPR. Igor Plotnitski also stressed that the republic has taken four steps on the path to independence: demonstrations against the February events in Kiev, the May referendum, the summer war, and the elections on November 2nd.
