Alexey Pushkov, the head of the State Duma committee for international affairs, said that the losses of the Democrats in the Congressional elections were a personal defeat for Obama. He added that Democrat candidates were scared to mention Obama’s name due to the unpopularity of the president, RIA Novosti reports.
The U.S. elected 435 members of the House of Representatives and 36 senators yesterday. Most of them are members of the Republican Party.
