Ruling coalition of Georgia may lose parliamentary majority

The ruling Georgian Dream coalition may lose its parliamentary majority. The Our Georgia – Free Democrats Party, whose leader, ex-Defense Minister Irakli Alasania, has recently been dismissed from the government, will announce today whether it will stay in the coalition or not, RIA Novosti reports.

The session of the Political Council was set for 5.00pm. Quitting the Georgian Dream coalition will mean a loss of 10 votes in the parliament. The parliamentary majority requires at least 75 votes to pass laws.
