Leaders of Donetsk and Luhansk to reconsider Minsk Protocol

Andrey Purgin, the leader of the Donetsk Oblast, and Alexey Karyakin, the head of the Luhansk People's Council, said that a trilateral contact group for Ukraine may gather two weeks ahead of schedule, TASS reports.

The two leaders will not attend the Minsk consultations personally, their representatives will follow their directives. Purgin and Karyakin want a new version of the Minsk Protocol due to Ukraine's unilateral cancellation of the document and lifting the special status of the two separatist territories.
