Ebrahim Rahimpour, a deputy foreign minister of Iran and a special envoy for the Caspian, said that Azerbaijan and Iran had common historical origins and their bilateral ties were based on friendship. That is why nothing can spoil them, in his opinion, Trend reports.
He reminded that Iran had 7 neighbours on the ground and 8 on the sea. The diplomat called Azerbaijan a special country among them. Cooperation in culture, economy and security in the bilateral and regional formats are a priority for welfare, stability and security, according to Rahimpour.
In his words, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani will visit Azerbaijan on November 12 and discuss economic, cultural, political and legal documents, pass a joint declaration of heads of states, documents on the Zudaferin Bridge and transboundary rivers.
