Turkey's Constitution needs amendments - Erdogan

The Turkish parliament has discussed amendments to the country’s Constitution, reports Trend with reference to the Turkish CNN Turk TV channel.

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at a meeting of the ruling Justice and Development Party that the country was not able to move forward under the present Constitution.

He also said that he believed he had wide support for the amendments and also wanted the opposition to back his proposal.
