Georgian president always open to opposition

Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili expressed regret that the ex-President Mikheil Saakashvili’s United National Movement left the parliament as a protest against Speaker of Parliament David Usupashvili. He told members of the UNM that he was ready for debates after the annual report to parliament, News Georgia reports.

The Georgian president used his constitutional right to make a speech at the parliament. The UNM wanted to ask Margvelashvili questions but Usupshvili refused to give them such an opportunity, reminding that the Constitution did not stipulate such a procedure.
