Yevgeny Ivanov, the director of the Russian Consulate Department, said that the country was not planning to consider issuing visas to foreigners at the border. He explained that the initiative would require corresponding infrastructure at the border, RIA Novosti reports.
The EU has recently announced its readiness to issue short-term Schengen visas to Russians at the EU's borders.
