Conflicts in Caucasus negatively affect Turkey, Davutoglu says

Conflicts in the South Caucasus have a negative impact on Turkey, Azerbaijani news agency Trend quoted Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu as saying on November 22.

He made the remarks at the energy summit in Istanbul, Turkey.

Davutoglu said Turkey has always stood for resolutions of the conflicts in the South Caucasus, including in Nagorno-Karabakh.

The Turkish prime minister said that, notwithstanding the conflicts in the region, Azerbaijan has achieved great success in the spheres of the economy and energy.

“Turkey and Georgia also benefited from Azerbaijan’s success, while Armenia stood aside from that, as it has occupied Azerbaijani territories,” Davutoglu said.
