Russia and Syria discuss crisis settlement

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov and Syrian Ambassador to Russia Riyad Haddad have discussed prospects of settling the Syrian crisis and preparations for the upcoming visit of Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Muallem to Moscow, RIA Novosti reports.

The sides considered the prospects for a political settlement of the Syrian crisis via an inter-Syrian dialogue without foreign interference, as stated in the Geneva Communique of June 30, 2012.

Walid Muallem will visit Moscow on November 26.
