Adsressing attendees of the 4th Turkish-British forum, Turkish President Rcep Tayyip Erdogan called for a ground operation against the Islamic State terrorist group, which currently controls a large part of Iraq and Syria.
According to Erdogan, air strikes launched by members of the anti-ISIS coalition are useless with sending troops to the region.
"The Islamic States now controls 40 percent of the territory of Iraq. The situation in Syria is quite similar. Air strikes cannot stop this invasion," Erdogan said.
