Pope Francis is on a visit to Turkey. He is praying for improvement of relations between Armenia and Turkey and hopes for the border between the two states to be be opened. He reminded about President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s message voiced on April 24 offering a joint investigation of the events of 1915. The Pope considers the offer to be a serious step of Turkey towards rapprochement.
