The Interior Ministry of Abkhazia is actively working on the problem of recognition of its state independence by countries of Latin America, the Asian-Pacific Region and Africa, according to the Interior Minister Vyacheslav Chirikba.
“We expect serious results from our efforts and visits by various countries,” TASS cites him as saying.
According to the minister, the same work is going on in the European countries.
“We have great cooperation and understanding with the Russian side, which supports us in building international contacts, and I think this important resource is a foundation for Abkhazian diplomacy’s success,” Chirikba said.
