Russian president addresses Federal Assembly

Russian President Vladimir Putin is making his Annual Address to the Federal Assembly. It is a document outlining the president’s views on key issues of Russian politics, TASS reports.

Putin’s speech started at the Georgiyevsky Hall of the Great Kremlin Palace at 12.00pm. About 1,100 guests, including senators, lawmakers, members of the government, heads of the Constitutional and the Supreme Court, governors, heads of legislative assemblies of regions, religious leaders, public figures, heads of public chambers of regions and media sources, are attending his speech.

It is the 11th time the president will make the Annual Address. It will be the 21st Annual Address in modern Russian history.
