Georgia will not increase army size

The Georgian parliament has not increased the army's size. The army size of 37,000 troops has not changed in Georgia since June 2008. The parliament made its decision as recommended by the National Security Council, Interfax-Azerbaijan reports.


Changes in the army's size used to be made in the form of laws. The Georgian parliament has deprived the president of the right to legislative initiatives.
