Ukrainian Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak said at the parliament that the army size will grow from 130,000 soldiers in 2013 to 250,000 to secure the east of the country, APA reports.
He noted that more forces will move to the Transnistrian border. The minister said that 50 billion hryvnias will be issued for the Defense Ministry in 2015, compared with 15 billion hryvnias in the budget of 2014 and 11 billion hryvnias were provided by the reserve fund.
