Another company of Georgian soldiers goes to Afghanistan

Another company of Georgian soldiers is on its way to serve in Afghanistan. Its departure ceremony took place at the drill ground of the 4th mechanized brigade in Vaziani. Georgian Defense Minister Mindia Janelidze and Chief of General Staff Major-General Vakhtang Kapanadze made speeches, Georgia Online reports.

The Georgian troops concluded training in November. They underwent 13 weeks of training in Georgia and 5 months in Germany. German instructors praised the progress of the Georgian soldiers.

The company will serve in Mazar-i-Sharif under German command.
