Azerbaijan has ratified the agreement on promotion and mutual protection of investments signed with Russia during the visit of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to Russia in Astrakhan in September, concluding the summit of heads of Caspian states (Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia, Turkmenistan), TASS reports.
At the meeting in Astrakhan, the sides also signed agreements on cooperation in preventing emergency situations in the Caspian Sea and emergency recovery, cooperation in hydrometeorology in the Caspian and protection of the water bio-resources of the Caspian Sea and their effective exploitation.
