Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that there are very strong reasons to believe that the US is using sanctions to make an attempt at destabilization and regime change in Russia.
"I have very good reason to believe that this is the case," Lavrov said, adding that some politicians do not even hide it.
According to him, Moscow overestimated the independence of the European Union and certain major European countries from the United States.
The head of the Russian Foreign Ministry said that the delay in convening the Minsk meeting related to the intention of the DNR and the LNR to include on the agenda not only the cease-fire issue, but also the question of the exchange of hostages.
