Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his condolences to the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan on the terrorist attack on a school in the city of Peshawar.
"The Russian leader said that he is shocked by such a barbaric terrorist attack on a school in Peshawar, which caused significant civilian casualties, most of them children and teenagers," the press service of the Kremlin said.
"The Russian president strongly condemned this cynical attack of militants, and supports the efforts of the Pakistani authorities to counter the terrorist threat," the Kremlin press service is cited by TASS.
The Russian President conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families and wished a speedy recovery to those injured.
As previously reported by Vestnik Kavkaza, recently a group of militants seized a school where up to 500 people could have been. As a result of a special operation on releasing the hostages, six terrorists were killed. However, the number of victims of the rebel attack on the school in Peshawar, Pakistan, reached 141 people, and more than 245 people were injured.
