Georgian ex-President Saakashvili loses presidential passport

 

Georgian ex-President Mikheil Saakashvili said upon arrival to a session of the European Parliament (on ratification of the Georgia-EU Association Agreement) in Strasburg that the Georgian Foreign Ministry had nullified his passport, Interfax reports.He admitted that the problem had no impact on his arrival for the session.The Chief Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia started persecution of Saakashvili in July. He was put on the national wanted list. The Interpol has not put Saakashvili on the international wanted list, despite requests of Georgian prosecutors.
