MEP Ewald Stadler said that the collapse of the ruble has already caused harm not only to Russia. While some Western journalists "drool with delight" amid the falling ruble's exchange rate against the euro and the dollar, others have noticed that it is not only Russia which has come under attack. Among the companies that were affected by the collapse of the ruble, Stadler lists Raiffeisenbank and the German Metro Group, RIA Novosti reports.
"I hope common sense will return to Europe in the near future, and the ladies and gentlemen associated with high politics will understand that the Europeans cannot win much from this war," he concluded.
