A scandalous statement about the death of a volunteer in Ukraine, Alexander Grigolashvili, has disappeared from the website of the Ministry of Defense of Georgia.
It blamed the former government of the country for this tragedy.
The emergence of this statement caused a flurry of criticism of the Ministry of Defence. Among others, Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili has condemned it, calling it a mistake to publish it.
Later, the deputy head of the defense ministry Levan Girsiashvili acknowledged that there had been a mistake, "from which no one is immune." "We see this mistake and recognize it. I cannot exclude that this mistake was made with an emotional background," RIA Novosti quoted him.
