Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yildiz said that the country is considering the Russian proposal to build the "Turkish Stream."
He stressed that this project is very interesting for Ankara.
According to the minister, the project partners are Germany, France and Italy, so EU policy directed against the "Turkish Stream in this context is puzzling".
As "Vestnik Kavkaza" previously reported, on the first of December during negotiations in Turkey Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the Russian Federation cannot continue the implementation of "South Stream" in the current environment, including the non-constructive position of the European Union. At the same time, he noted that Russia will build a new gas pipeline system to meet the needs of Turkey.
