7 Turkish soldiers were injured in an attack by the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in the Mardin Province today, Trend reports.


Turkey has spent over $400 billion fighting terrorism since 1984, according to ex-Minister for Transportation, Maritime Affairs and Communications Binali Yildirim. PKK militants have recently been more active.


Turkey started the democratic process of settling the Kurdish problem in 2009. Some militants left the country and moved to Iraq.
