Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili will pardon hundreds of convicts for the New Year, it was announced today by Zviad Koridze, the head of the amnesty commission, News Georgia reports.
The State Amnesty Commission, the Chief Prosecutor’s Office and the Georgian Patriarchy are studying 225 bids for pardoning that meet all the criteria. Over 200 other bids do not meet all the criteria but the commission is studying them nonetheless.
