Hamas counts on more help from Iran

The Palestinian Islamist organization Hamas counts on more help from Iran. This was said today by a member of the Hamas politburo Moussa Ebou Marzouk.

"Iran has promised to support Hamas, and we very much hope that it will keep its promise. Although relations with Iran have never ceased, after the last visit, they began to return to normal. We hope that they will further expand and reach a certain stability," Marzouk is quoted by RIA Novosti.

Iran has acted as one of the major sponsors of Hamas, but because of the civil war in Syria relations between them have cooled, since Hamas in Syria is on the side of the Sunni opposition and Iran is on the side of the Alawite regime of Bashar al-Assad.
