Switzerland will continue assisting in the process of normalizing
relations between Armenia and Turkey, the Speaker of the Council of
States of the Swiss Confederation Erica-Forster Vanini said at the
meeting with the head of Armenian National Assmebly Ovik Abramyan,
News Armenia reports.
The last two years has seen a Armenian-Turkish rapprochement, and the
two countries signed protocols on establishing diplomatic relations
and bilateral ties on October 10, 2009 in Zurich. But they haven't
been ratified yet.
At the meeting the sides also talked about the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement.
An Armenian delegation is on a visit to Switzerland. Chairman of
Armenian-Swiss group of friendship Ara Babloyan and the deputy
chairman of the permanent commission for economic affairs Vardan
Bostanzhyan are part of Armenian delegation.
